We’re happy to help you! The Specialised Information Service for African Studies offers an OJS Hosting Service to the African Studies community based in Germany.
We offer:
- Technical set-up, maintenance and regular updates on a permanently available server
- Advice and practical support for the conceptual design and creation of the journal(s) regarding:
- website layout (selection and arrangement of contents)
- editorial workflows
- web design
- Indexing of the journal (through an interface with the Directory of Open Access Journals)
- Providing a journal DOI namespace and procedures for automatically registering new articles with DOI names
- Advice and practical support for the inclusion of journal contents in library catalogues, in the Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE) etc. to increase the journal’s visibility
- It’s free of charge: the hosting service is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and operated by the Frankfurt University Library
- Continued journal hosting is guaranteed even if project support expires
