The Corpus de la première littérature francophone de l’Afrique noire is available as a national license for Germany through the provider Classiques Garnier Numérique.

Germany-wide access is made possible through funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and is organized by the Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library in Frankfurt.

The Corpus de la première littérature francophone de l’Afrique noire is a full-text collection of oral and written francophone African literature from the late 18th century to 1960. The corpus comprises some 11,000 texts of all genres (including novels, stories, poems, songs, sagas, legends), including numerous rare and hard-to-find materials, and covers some 20 countries. In addition to the texts, the database also includes a critical appendix with notes and commentaries.

For more information on access options, see the German Research Foundation’s database profile for national licenses. Individuals with permanent residence in the Federal Republic of Germany can register as a single user free of charge if access is not available to them through a university network, or through their academic library.
